[다경뉴스=손윤수 기자] On the 2nd, Goryeong-gun held the completion ceremony of the Goryeong-gun Citizens’ Gymnasium, which will play a role in meeting the various leisure activities, cultural and sports activities of Goryeong-gun residents, at the site in Kwaebin-ri, Daegaya-eup.
The Goryeong County Citizens’ Gymnasium is located at 341-6 Kwaebin-ri, Daegaya-eup, with a total project cost of KRW 20.8 billion, with 3 floors above ground and a total floor area of 3,991㎡. Construction began in August 2022 and the completion ceremony was held on the 2nd of this month.
The recently completed Goryeong County Citizens’ Gymnasium is equipped with facilities for athletic activities to reflect the demand for various indoor sports such as volleyball, basketball, and badminton. It also has 800 spectator seats and a stage, making it possible to hold various events such as indoor sports events.
Goryeong-gun said, “The opening of an indoor gym where people can exercise regardless of season and time will contribute to the healthy cultural and sports activities of residents,” and “It will be a place where not only professional athletes, but also hobbyists and the general public can interact and communicate with each other.” “By creating a space, we will take the lead in revitalizing local sports and creating an image of young and powerful senior citizens.”
