Vasilevsky’s Laughter and Return to Form in the Midst of Farting Incident

The 29-year-old two-time Stanley Cup winner and owner of the Vezina Trophy for the best goaltender of the 2018/19 season was just sharing his observations from the game when someone farted in the hall.

Vasilevsky tried to keep a stony face, but it just wasn’t possible… He had to laugh for almost half a minute, until he even forgot the question he was supposed to answer.

“This was the first match when I finally felt like myself,” the goalkeeper said when he was able to speak. He was referring to the fact that he had to undergo disc surgery at the end of September, due to which he could not return to games until November 24, and the game against Dallas was only his fifth of the current season.

Stars reset for the sixth time in his career. “We played excellently and it’s a great result,” said Vasilevsky, pleased that Tampa ended a streak of four defeats and returned Saturday’s 1-8 debacle to Dallas.
