Valdepeñas to Host Spanish 3D Archery Championship and Traditional Bow Competition

Valdepeñas will host on January 26, 27 and 28 at the ‘Esteban López Vega Fair Pavilion the Spanish 3D Archery Championship + Traditional Bow, Longbow and Naked Bow organized by the Royal Spanish Archery Federation in collaboration with the City Council of the town.

The Deputy Mayor of Sports, David Sevilla, has indicated that with this test Valdepeñas will become the “national epicenter” of archery in January, for which he wanted to “thank the Royal Spanish Archery Federation your confidence. We know that there are many venues that have been presented because it is a very sweet candy and that to this day it has always been made in provincial capitals, so for us it is very important that the city of Valdepeñas has been trusted.” . In this sense, he stated that “we are sure that the economic impact for the city will be very broad, since last year this championship was held in León with 500 male and female archers, so imagine the magnitude of this sporting event.” .

For his part, the president of the local Aljaba archery club, José María Román, was pleased that Valdepeñas is hosting a Spanish championship of this sporting discipline for the fourth time, which, in this case, goes one step further in the 3D modality. “It consists of targets, which are 3D foam animals that are placed at different distances that the archer is unaware of, so he cannot control the viewer,” Román specified to explain the difficulty of this test.

The Spanish 3D Archery Championship + Traditional Bow, Longbow and Naked Bow will be broadcast through the website of the Royal Spanish Archery Federation, with the 3D test taking place on the 26th and 27th in the morning and the modalities of Traditional Bow, Longbow and Naked on the afternoon of the 27th and the 28th.
