Utah Jazz Identifies Three Main Players in ‘Operation Exit’ as Interest Grows in Jordan Clarkson

Three players are the main ones identified in ‘Operation Exit’ launched by the Utah Jazz. In addition to the final year contracts of Kelly Olynyk and Talen Horton-Tucker, Jordan Clarkson is very likely to leave the Salt Lake City franchise before the February market closes.

At the moment, the interest of up to six different teams in the player who won the Sixth Man award in 2021 has been shared. The media Sports Illustrated has added the Houston Rockets as potential buyers to a list that also includes the Los Angeles Lakers, Miami Heat, Orlando Magic, Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers.

Clarkson’s salary amounts to 23.5 million dollars this year, but he will pocket 14.1 and 14.3 million, respectively, in the next two seasons, a quite attractive amount for potential ring candidates who wish to incorporate a reliable scorer from the bench.

Due to the extension he signed this summer, Clarkson will not be able to be included in any trade until early January. Thus, everything indicates that the Jazz will wait for all their players to be commercially available before delving into any type of negotiation. The Philippine international is currently out due to a muscle strain.
