The Champions League 2024/2025 is ready to embrace numerous innovations. In addition to the ban on relegation to the Europa League for the third-placed teams in the groups, the most obvious change will concern the number of participating teams that will pass and 32 and 36. And we will no longer see traditional groupings, but rather one single group. The same thing explains how what will happen Uefawhich on its website illustrates three different methods of assigning additional places. The remaining additional places in the single group stage will be reserved to the two federations with the highest ranking whose affiliated clubs have recorded the best collective performance in the previous season. If this ranking were to be replicated, they would go to the Champions League the fifth in the Premier League and the fifth in Serie A. Everything, therefore, depends on the European path of the 7 teams involved in their respective UEFA competitions this season.
