Austria’s footballers have qualified for a World Cup for the first time in history. The U19 women celebrated a 6-0 win against Iceland in the play-off in Salou, Spain on Monday and thus secured their ticket to the 2024 U20 World Cup in Colombia.
Nicole Ojukwu gave the team a comfortable 3-0 lead with a triple pack (11th, 23rd, 45th minute). Isabel Aistleitner scored from the penalty spot to make it 4-0 (45th + 5th minute), Alisa Ziletkina made the decision with her brace (70th and 87th minute).
