Two 23-Year-Olds from San Cipriano d’Aversa Held Responsible for Aggravated Personal Injury and Damage to Car Dealer in Caserta

Franco Moccia and Giuseppe Riccardo, both 23 years old from San Cipriano d’Aversa, have been released and held responsible for aggravated personal injury and damage to a car dealer in Caserta.

This is what was ordered by the preliminary hearing judge Simone Farina of the Naples North court before whom the two friends appeared in the trial which is being celebrated with an abbreviated procedure at the request of the deputy prosecutor José Criscuolo. He will return to the courtroom in February for the parties’ discussions and the sentencing.

According to what has been ascertained by the Norman Prosecutor’s Office, the two suspects, assisted by the lawyers Ferdinando Letizia and Paolo Caterino, in collaboration with other subjects were responsible for a beating that took place outside the home of the 41-year-old car salesman.

Franco Moccia, who had purchased a Fiat Idea on the Subito.it platform, organized the punitive expedition. Shortly after formalizing the purchase, Moccia noticed a malfunction with the car. Having informed the seller of the fault, the latter explained to him that it was not his job to repair it since it had not occurred before the sale. Given Moccia’s anger, he then offered to give him 100 euros to cover any repair costs. Offer rejected.

Insistent phone calls and threats followed. Last July the stakeouts began under the seller’s house. The punitive expedition took place in August. They waited for the victim to arrive in his car in the driveway of the house. They put a car in their way to prevent him from escaping. Franco Moccia came out of the car with a baseball bat that hit the car. The victim tried to flee on foot. Once reached, he was also hit with kicks and punches by Giuseppe Riccardo. He managed to escape inside the house and alerted the emergency services there. The injury reported was a facial trauma with fracture of the nasal septum with a prognosis of 20 days.

He reported the incident to the police who hesitated in arresting the two suspects already burdened by precedents last October. Both were placed under house arrest.
