Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been severely tested in his team selection of late by injury and suspension.
Spurs were missing 10 players in the draw at Manchester City, which ended the three-match losing streak.
“It’s fair to say, not by design, you test all these things through tough periods. We have just been through one and, in many respects, are still going through it now,” he said.
“I’ve been really pleased with the players’ application and commitment to what we’re trying to do.
“Guys have got an opportunity which maybe they wouldn’t have got otherwise.
“Our performance level in the last four games has been pretty good, Wolves aside, in terms of the kind of football you want to play.
“Obviously, the results haven’t [been good] so that is an area we need to improve, but with everything we have gone through, I’m pleased with the determination from the players to keep going.”
