More than half the league is waiting for the Toronto Raptors’ decision. They already were last year, when there were finally no movements, but this could be the final one. The last three defeats place the Canadians in eleventh position in the Eastern Conference and place them before the vital dilemma of whether to completely change the structure of the squad or wait a little longer.
If they finally choose to sell their most valuable assets, they will find several teams already positioned to undertake a transfer. And Pascal Siakam will be one of the most coveted pieces.
According to the journalist The Athletic, Shams Charania, Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings are three of the teams that are willing to bid very hard for Siakam, with OG Anunoby also in their sights. In fact, the Hawks already held trade talks for Siakam during the offseason, while the Pacers and Kings have closely monitored the Anunoby situation over the past year.
Siakam is in the final season of his current contract with the Raptors, which will earn him a final amount of $37.9 million. For his part, Anunoby has a player option valued at 19.9 million for next year, which he is expected to reject to enter unrestricted free agency.
