Former British professional tennis player Timothy Henman wishes Andy Murray more fun on the court next season. He also thinks that Murray can improve his performance again.

The former world number one was a bit disappointed after his season; he had not made it into week two of a Grand Slam. It’s been four years since his second hip operation, but the 36-year-old isn’t thinking about stopping the professional tour. Henman hopes Murray can get back to enjoying himself and his game.
“At the end of last year it didn’t look like he was comfortable on the pitch,” Henman told Eurosport. “His attitude wasn’t good. At this stage of his career you don’t just want to get good results, you want to have fun. He won’t play professional tennis forever. I think what I want for Andy Murray is that he plays well “Get some good wins and have fun. So, keep your fingers crossed.”

Unfortunately, Henman was never able to reach a Grand Slam final in his career, but he reached the semi-finals several times, was ranked number 4 in the world and was long considered the only English tennis star before Andy Murray came along. Henman hopes that next season Murray will be rewarded for his efforts and hard training in such a way that the 36-year-old himself is happy with the results.
“I think it might be his last year. I don’t know,” said the former tennis professional. “He’s the only one who really knows that. But look, he’s still so motivated. I’ve seen him training at the National Tennis Center in Roehampton. He’s training on the court and in the gym and I hope he’s up for it All this time and effort is rewarded.” The former world number four also told Eurosport: “I think he (Murray) is moving better than last season and I think he can play better too. If the schedule is a little friendlier and the weather is a little warmer, maybe he can have a good run, that’s what he works for in the gym.”
I wish Murray from the bottom of my heart to have a successful 2024 season, which will above all bring him joy!
