Sillé-le-Guillaume Archers Shine in Local Competition: Eight Medals and Bonus Trophy Won

The archers from Sillé-le-Guillaume (Sarthe) were in competition on Sunday May 12, 2024. They distinguished themselves at home. They won eight medals and a bonus trophy.

70 shooters

The archery competition, organized by the archers of Sillé-le-Guillaume, involved 70 shooters. The club leaders thank the archers who came. “On the two departures, in the morning and in the afternoon, some participants came from the Paris region, Manche, Brittany and Orne. This is also friendship in our sport,” rejoice the club leaders.

Thank you volunteers

They would like to thank the referees and volunteers for their efforts throughout this competition. They also thank the staff of the municipal workshops of Sillé “who did what was necessary, despite difficult conditions, to make the land passable”.

The results :

Recurve bow U15, distance 40 m: first Ladislas Denis. It was the first outdoor competition of his young career (1 year of shooting).

Recurve bow U18, distance 50m: Romain Beauclair ranks third. For him too it was his first outdoor competition after only a year of shooting.

Senior recurve bow 1, distance 50m: Dylan Geslin places second.

Senior recurve bow 2, distance 50m: Joan Geslin also placed second.

Compound arch in national distance at 50 m: Sylvain Bodereau ranks 3rd.

In bare arch Gentlemen, distance 50m: Laurent Carlin ranks second.

And Nicolas Denis ranks 3rd.

In women’s bare arch, distance 50 m: Nathalie Bécu takes 1st place and Dominique Cochet 2nd.

The bare bow mixed team trophy went to the quartet Nathalie, Dominique, Laurent and Nicolas.

On May 26, the Sillé archers will travel to the Laigné-en-Belin club.
