The Fourth Edition of the Città di Casarsa della Delizia Indoor Archery Tournament: A Success for Fenice Arcieri ASD

The fourth edition of the Città di Casarsa della Delizia indoor tournament was held at the PalaRosa in Casarsa. An event in which not only archers from Friuli Venezia Giulia but also from Veneto, Lombardy and Emilia Romagna participated. Thanks to the Arcieri della Fenice ASD society, the city has carved out a leading role for itself and is increasingly a reference center for this sport as demonstrated by the presence of as many as 130 athletes. At the same time, the archery competitions were also valid for qualification for the Italian Fitarco championships which will take place in Pordenone in February.

«We are proud of our archers – commented the municipal councilor for sport Samuele Mastracco, present at the competition – who are constantly growing in number of practitioners, so much so that today we have 134 members which place the Fenice among the major realities in Italy in terms of number of members. Congratulations to the president Bruno Vetere, the board of directors and all the volunteers who make our girls and boys have fun and practice healthy activities. Together with the mayor Claudio Colussi we are convinced of the educational and training value of sport, positive purposes of which archery is a valid example”.

In the competition at the Casarsese arena, the participants competed in all types of bows (bare bow, Olympic and compound) at a distance of 18 meters from the target. For the hosts in the Olympic Allieve silver medal for Valeria Feletto, in the Giovanissime gold for Endya Odorico. In the compound bronze for Bernard Lee junior Marshall in the men’s Senior, for Giulia Vetere in the women’s Senior, for Daniele De Nadai in the men’s Master. In the bare bow bronze for Amadio Patrick in the Senior men’s category, silver in the Men’s Masters for Alberto Versolato and bronze for Taddeo Lazzarotto. Golds for Fiorella Salatin (Master), Sebastiano Trevisan (Junior), Gaia Calaone (Junior), Gabriele Pizzutto (Students), Juan Jose Vedovato (Boys) and in the Girls gold for Monica Pizzutto and silver for Giada Desiderà. Finally, the team competitions: silver in the men’s Compound Master (Daniele De Nadai, Umberto Raffin and Scott Matthew Bingham) and gold in the men’s Nude Master (Alberto Versolato, Taddeo Lazzarotto, Ennio Versolato).
