Tennis Stars Enjoy Well-Deserved Breaks After 2023 Season

General

For most tennis stars, the 2023 season is officially over and some professionals are using the time to relax. Nevertheless, a break is not granted for too long, because the season-opening tournament “UnitedCup” and the ATP tournament in Brisbane start in Australia at the end of December.

After this eventful 2023 season, the tennis professionals deserve a break and at least most tennis stars are using it for a little vacation.

A particularly popular travel destination this year is the Maldives. Alexander Zverev enjoys his free time with his girlfriend Sophia Thomalla in the luxury resort “Patima Maldives” and posts pictures on social media in which he can be seen fishing or riding a jet ski. The current number three in the world rankings, Daniil Medvedev, also landed in the Maldives and shows his fans sleeping on the beach via Instagram.

Caroline Garcia, currently number 20 in the women’s world rankings, chose a very special holiday destination. The 2022 WTA Finals winner decided to take a break in Antarctica and is clearly enjoying her little break.

Stefano Tsitsipas and Paula Badosa together in Dubai

The United Arab Emirates also seems to be a popular holiday destination. Stefanos Tsitsipas, currently ranked sixth in the world, is in Dubai with his girlfriend, Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa, ranked 65th. The 25-year-old Greek, who had to withdraw from the ATP Finals in Turin due to a back injury, seems to be doing a little better because he and his girlfriend Paula Badosa are playing in the World Tennis League show tournament, which is also in Dubai is carried out.

The Dane Holger Rune is spending the tennis break in Abu Dhabi, without his new tennis coach Boris Becker, but with fitness trainer Lapo Becherini. Sabine Lisicki is also in Dubai to prepare for the new season and, as she says, to escape the German winter. The entry-level Wimbeldon finalist celebrated her return to the professional tour this year, three years after her serious knee injury.
