At 19, the Welshman from the Ineos-Grenadiers team burst onto the scene upon his arrival this season among the pros. Like his model Remco Evenepoel (four years his senior), he moved from juniors to the elite category, skipping the U23 box. And like the Belgian, he hit hard from the start in his favorite discipline, the time trial. After a 3rd place at the world championship in Glasgow (behind Evenepoel and Ganna), he then won the European title by relegating Bisseger and Van Aert to more than 40 seconds. With an impressive physique (1.94m for 78kg), the Welshman is already positioning himself as the future great in the time trial, even if he does not yet know what direction his career will take, which is only just beginning.
