Boston Celtics pull away in the NBA playoffs

The Boston Celtics won 109:102 against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference semifinals of the National Basketball Association (NBA) on Monday (local time) and moved to 3:1 in the best of seven series. This means that one win is still missing to reach the conference finals. In the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder won 100:96 against the Dallas Mavericks, leveling the series at 2-2.

Jayson Tatum with 33 points and Jaylen Brown with 27 points led Boston to victory, the Cavaliers were supported by their former player LeBron James on the sidelines. The Mavericks blew a 14-point lead and lost to Oklahoma at home. The free throws in particular became a problem for the team around superstar Luka Doncic. While Dallas only used twelve of 23 attempts, the Oklahoma City Thunder sank 23 of 24 free throws.
