Swimming: Bonnet and Grousset continue their harvest of medals at the Euros in short course

The Frenchwoman, titled Thursday in the 100m medley during the European Short Course Championships organized in Romania, won the silver medal this Saturday in the 200m medley event, a new French record in her pocket in 2′06″58.

Large and bronze on 50 m papillon

At just 18 years old, Mary-Ambre Moluh took the bronze medal in the 100m backstroke with a time of 57″10, in a race dominated by the Dutch Kira Toussaint (55″88) and the British Medi Harris (56″ 81). New medal also for Maxime Grousset. Second in the 100m butterfly at the start of the championship but “only” seventh in the 50m freestyle, the student of Michel Chrétien this time took bronze in the final of the 50m butterfly. He also set a new French record in 22″06.

Finally, a collective medal concluded the day for the French. Maxime Grousset, Florent Manaudou, Charlotte Bonnet and Beryl Gastaldello finished in third place in the mixed 4x50m freestyle relay. With a time of 1′28″35, the Blues finished behind Italy (1′28″28) and Great Britain (1′27″75), in the lead from the start of the race.
