Bintang Indonesian National team, Shayne Pattynama confident that the Garuda Squad can provide fierce resistance in the upcoming 2023 Asian Cup.
The Indonesian national team is in the same group as Japan, Iraq and Vietnam. When talking in terms of ranking, the Indonesian National Team has the lowest position compared to the other three teams.
However, this does not necessarily make Shayne pessimistic. He believes the Indonesian national team can have a lot to say at the Asian Cup.
“My target in the Asian Cup is to show that our team is a team with good talent,” said Shayne, quoted from the PSSI release.
Shayne thinks the Indonesian National Team will set high targets. The Indonesian national team will show that it will not be easy for the opposing team to face the Garuda Squad in the upcoming Asian Cup.
“We came not only to play but to compete with other teams, because we are playing against great teams. So we have to show confidence, that it is not easy (for other teams) against us,” said Shayne.
The Indonesian national team is currently undergoing a training camp in Türkiye. They will face two trials against Libya and then go to Qatar, the host of the Asian Cup. In Qatar, the Indonesian national team will carry out one trial against Iran and then start fighting in the Asian Cup.
