RKC Waalwijk Supporter Speaks Out After Match Against Ajax

RKC Waalwijk supporter Daan van der Linden was back in the stadium on Wednesday evening to watch his team play out the remainder of the match against Ajax. In Waalwijk the Amsterdam team held out and the score remained 2-3.

The match was stopped a few months ago after Etienne Vaessen was seriously injured following a collision with Brian Brobbey. Van der Linden was surprised that there was no punishment for the Ajax player. “I have not heard anyone from RKC about the question of whether Ajax striker Brian Brobbey was guilty of that. I mean that the VAR should have looked into it,” he says in the Brabants Dagblad. “In my eyes it is a red card, Brobbey has done nothing to avoid it.”

After less than ten minutes the match was over again on Wednesday evening and RKC was left empty-handed. “They pinched him. Ajax came to Waalwijk with shit in their pants,” Van der Linden claims. “Look how shitty they played with wasting time in the corner. Ajax should be ashamed of themselves. I didn’t expect anything, but I feel like the moral winner.”
