Rising Tennis Stars Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner Surprise with Joint Training Session

They are young, rich, talented and, from a purely sporting point of view, great rivals. A competition which in no way prevented Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner from responding to each other during a joint training session.

The session took place this Thursday, in the facilities of the Equelite Tennis Academy located in Alicante (Spain). The structure belongs to a certain Juan Carlos Ferrero, the main coach of the Spanish player. During the day, Alcaraz inaugurated a court that bears his name, in front of the eyes of his Italian friend.

“Thank you for coming to train at the Equelite Academy Ferrero,” commented the world number 2 on his X account (ex-Twitter). It was a wonderful morning and a great session.”

This sharing of the field between the two players surprised more than one. As if two rivals necessarily had to prepare each on their own. But Alcaraz and Sinner were not rewarded for nothing during the last ATP Awards awarded at the end of the season. The first named won the player prize for best sportsmanship while the second was elected fans’ favorite player.

No Acapulco for Alcaraz

This anecdote told, we can evoke the program of the last winner of Wimbledon. Following the Australian Open (January 14 to 28), Carlos Alcaraz plans to go to Buenos Aires (February 12 to 18) then continue with Río de Janeiro (February 19 to 25), Indian Wells (6 to March 17) and finally Miami (March 20 to 31).

He will therefore not go to Acapulco for the Mexico Open, a tournament he missed during the last two editions. Each time for physical glitches. The first time after winning the final in Buenos Aires, and the second time after losing it.
