Rising Star Muslic Leads Cercle Brugge to Success in Belgian First Division

While Belgium’s first division team placed Muslic’s trust as a “co” under Viennese Dominik Thalhammer in October 2021, last September he even inherited the ex-LASK coach on the bench – and paid it back in a big way. Last year he sensationally led Cercle to sixth place, and now the youngest team (the average age of the starting eleven is 22.4 years) is back in sixth place in the Jupiler Pro League. Royal Antwerp is waiting on Saturday, Muslic will play his 51st game and has so far achieved a points average of 1.66. “I am a very grateful person, patience is what sets me apart. Before the extension, I didn’t want to rush into things and jump at the first offer. There’s no rush, I want to continue my education. I’m sure there are still 1000 things I need to improve. The rest will take care of itself.”
