Renée Wieck Awarded Silver Medal for Years of Volunteer Service

After the under 25 category, it is the more mature volunteers who have just been rewarded by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. After Lucas Esquirol for the festival committee, it was Renée Wieck who was awarded the silver medal. A medal that corresponds to his years of involvement in various associations. First of all, 33 years ago, by becoming a member of the city’s Archers association. Trainer and sports educator, she then moved into refereeing which she practiced at the departmental then regional level to end up serving her sport, as treasurer of the association, but also treasurer then president of the departmental archery committee and member of the Languedoc-Roussillon regional committee. Along the way, in 2000 she became a member of the Atelier des artistes de Lavalette, a cultural association of which she became president from 2006 to 2011; she is today its treasurer. A few years ago she joined the FEP which offers a range of activities centered around fitness, Pilates, yoga and hiking. She became secretary in 2006 and tirelessly invested in the organization of events, the association forum and festive evenings. A great career serving others.
