Qatar Sports Investments (QSI), owner of PSG, has announced a new partnership with Close Partners. The American fund will acquire a minority stake in the capital of the Parisian club and will not influence the club’s sporting affairs. QSI will continue to make all decisions made at PSG, as stated in the official press release.

“We are delighted to welcome Arctos to the Paris-Saint-Germain family, as a partner and strategic investor. As a club and an institution, we are entering the next exciting phase of growth and development of PSG,” said President Nasser al-Khelaïfi. According to information in the French press, Arctos will acquire 12.5% ​​of the club, with a contribution of 531 million compared to an overall valuation of PSG of 4.25 billion euros.

“This partnership will form the basis of PSG’s next phase of global growth and will drive the club’s footballing and commercial successes,” explains the Parisian club. Investment fund QSI bought PSG in 2011 from previous owner Colony Capital, with the club valued at €70 million at the time. Arctos Partners, based in Dallas, was founded in 2019 and has interests in several professional sports organizations around the world such as MLB (Major League Baseball), NBA (North American Basketball League), MLS (Major League Soccer), NHL ( the North American Ice Hockey League), Formula 1 and several football teams in Europe.
