Prosecution seeks match behind closed doors for Anderlecht and Standard following Clasico incidents

As a reminder: the two clubs were under the threat of a match behind closed doors since the incidents that occurred during the Clasico on October 23, 2022, the reprieve from which ran until December 29. Given the seriousness of last Thursday’s events, the prosecution wants the sanction to be applied to both clubs. In a 19-page file, drawn up on the basis of the “match delegate’s” report, not only were seats thrown from one block to another and vice versa, but also other projectiles, including… a thermos. The head of security at the Standard was reportedly injured in the head and hospitalized.

The fact that Anderlecht threw around fifty smoke bombs does not speak in favor of the Mauves. A Bengal fire would have been thrown into the Rouches block, to the delight of a large part of the stadium.

The prosecution approves the decision of the two clubs to play the next Clasicos without opposing supporters, but is opposed to the opening of these blocks for fans of the team playing at home.
