ÖSV team in spectator role at the final in San Candido

Austria’s aces remained without a podium finish at the World Cup in San Candido. On Friday, five ÖSV runners made it to the quarter-finals among the men, but only Johannes Rohrweck and Robert Winkler made it to the semi-finals. Both failed and competed against each other in the small final: Rohrweck ended up in sixth place in the final, Winkler came eighth. The victories in South Tyrol went to Terence Tchiknavorian (FRA) and, for the first time, Sistine Cousin (SUI).

The two-time qualification winner Mathias Graf came ninth after fifth place the day before, immediately ahead of Johannes Aujesky. Adam Kappacher (fall in the quarterfinals) was 15th, Tristan Takats, the winner of Val Thorens, 17th.

In the women’s race, the only Austrian, Katrin Ofner, was the last to be eliminated from her quarter-final heat and finished 13th. The next World Cup takes place on the 20th/21st. January in Nakiska in Canada.
