Odermatt wins RTL in Alta Badia

Marco Odermatt remains the king of giant slalomists. The Swiss defending champion in the overall World Cup won the giant slalom in Alta Badia for the third time on Sunday and thus celebrated his 26th success in the World Cup. In the giant slalom, Odermatt, who also won the first race of the season in Val d’Isere, was on top of the podium for the 16th time. Second place went to Croatian Filip Zubcic (+ 0.19 seconds), Zan Kranjec from Slovenia came third (+ 2.26).

As the best Austrian, Marco Schwarz ended up in fourth place, 2.54 seconds behind the winner, while Stefan Brennsteiner also made it into the top ten in eighth place (+3.42). Manuel Feller risked too much in the second round and was eliminated. Those defeated will have the opportunity to take revenge on Monday (10 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. live on ORF1) at the second giant slalom on the Gran Risa.
