A Zemanian Frosinone also puts on a show in the Italian Cup, beating an embarrassing Napoli.

Characteristics that would be useful for Napoli on a permanent basis. Napoli could increase the pressure on Frosinone with the overlapping of the full-backs in light of the brazen characteristics of their backs, but they do not do so, partly due to Frosinone’s careful pressure, partly due to widespread laziness. A sleepy and confused first half was shaken by two situations: first Raspadori hit the post with a left-footed shot from inside the area, then Simeone took advantage of a blackout from Okoli and scored with a tip, discarding Cerofolini. However, the goal was disallowed due to a handball from Lindstrøm at the start of the play. Without going into the merits, it always seems a bit forced to rewind the tape of actions so far back in time to find the frame right aimed at canceling the goal.

At the beginning of the second half Di Francesco tries to reorganize the team by inserting a role-playing winger such as Lirola in place of Kvernadze, but Napoli raises the pace and tries to find the advantage. Above all, it is the midfielders who give the greatest impetus: Cajuste plays a continuous game with several good ideas, while Gaetano shakes himself from anonymity with a roulette strange but effective with which he earns the free kick from the edge of the area sent to the post by Mario Rui. The entrances of Lobotka and Di Lorenzo (unusually on the left, with Zanoli on the right) bring nothing new, Frosinone passes at the moment of least momentum.
