Dominic Thiem has not yet given up belief in returning to the top of the world. Brother and manager Moritz Thiem explains what needs to change in 2024.
Apparently there are worse places than Dubai in December. 26 degrees, sunshine, palm trees – Christmas spirit is difficult to come by in the United Arab Emirates due to the environment. Dominic Thiem isn’t in the mood for vacation or partying anyway. Like Andrej Rublew, Grigor Dimitrov and Andy Murray, the Lower Austrian is preparing for the 2024 season in the Persian Gulf, which, strangely enough for Thiem, begins in 2023.
The Lower Austrian will fly from Dubai to Australia on December 26th at one o’clock local time. He then has three days left to adjust to the conditions and time difference (plus six hours) in Brisbane on the east coast before the first qualifying round for the ATP 250 tournament rings in the season on December 30th.
