The archer from the Compagnia Arcieri Livornesi, who had already graduated as Italian champion last May in Florence, amazed everyone with his majestic performance which put him on the top step of the podium at the World Championships currently being held in Pilsen
Unstoppable. Just like the title of Sia’s very famous song. Unstoppable. Matteo Panariello accomplishes yet another feat by climbing to the roof of the Archery World Visually Impaired (category VI 1). The archer from Livorno triumphed in the final challenge for world championship gold against the Australian Newbery in the competition held on the morning of Saturday 22 July in Pilsen in the Czech Republic. The archer of the Livornesi Archers Companywho had already graduated as Italian champion last May in Florence, amazed everyone with his majestic performance which put him on the top step of the podium at the World Championships after beating the American Jones and the Cypriot Misos in the preliminary stages.
This prestigious result is the result of the great effort put into training, and great credit goes to his coach and trainer Paolo Del Nistawhich brought Matteo to the peak of his form at the key moment of the competitive season.
A result that makes the whole city of Livorno proud on the day in which local sport is celebrated with the White Night of Sport. “I’m too happy! I still haven’t realized it – commented an enthusiastic Matteo Panariello a few minutes after winning the title – I just want to thank everyone. It’s too beautiful!”.
