ORLANDO, FL. — Franz Wagner scored 31 points, Paolo Banchero had 28 points, 13 rebounds and seven assists and the Orlando Magic beat the Washington Wizards 130-125 on Friday night to tie a franchise record with their ninth straight victory.
It was the third consecutive game of 30 points for Franz Wagnerwhose brother Moritz Wagner added another 18 to help Orlando to beat Washington for the second time in three nights.

The Magic have had four nine-game winning streaks, previously in 1994, 2001 and 2010-11. They are one of only two NBA franchises without a double-digit winning streak on their record. The Indiana Pacers’ longest winning streak is also nine games.
“In this league it is not easy to accumulate victories,” said Moritz Wagner.
“It’s very special,” Banchero remarked. “Eventually I think a defeat will come, but we just want to keep it up as long as possible. “But it’s not surprising when you do something like this because we have great chemistry and we play very well together.”

The Magic will try to set the new record of the franchise this saturday night in brooklynsite of their last defeat on November 14.
“It’s a great moment for this group, but more importantly I think it’s a great moment for the fans and the organization,” coach Jamahl Mosley said. “There is energy, there is vibe, a buzz about this groupand our guys are doing a good job of accepting it, not getting too high or too low, but being able to know that this is something special.”
Kyle Kuzma scored 27 points and Daniel Gafford contributed 18 and 11 rebounds for the Wizards, who have lost 11 of 12.
“Look at Franz and look at Paolo,” Kuzma said. “They can handle the game because they are very big, very strong and they just play downhill. They are a problem.”
