Lucas Faggiano from Bahia became a new player for Real Betis, a club that is active in the promotion of Spanish basketball (LEB Oro).
The point guard, 1m88 and 34 years old, was hired by the Seville club within the framework of a series of changes in the squad, in a change of direction compared to the weak team present in the competition.
Real Betis is 13th out of a total of 18 clubs, with 4 games won and 9 losses. It must be remembered that in this category the last three are relegated.

Faggiano comes from an extensive season in the Mexican league, where he was champion with Fuerza Reggia.
There he played 41 games in which he averaged 7.5 points, 2.3 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 1.5 steals.

Lucas trained at Estudiantes de nuestra ciudad, where he sought to earn a place between 2005 and 2012. In between, he faced the experience of trying himself in college basketball in the United States (NCAA) with the Long Island Blackbirds (2008-09).
After his time at Albo he moved to Bahía Basket (2012-13), and then continued in the National League but with the colors of Boca Juniors (2013-15), San Lorenzo de Almagro (2015-16, champion) and San Martín de Corrientes (2016-19).
In foreign professional basketball he started in Brazil, where he played for Baurú (2019-20).
From there he emigrated to the Spanish promotion with Gipuzkoa, directed by Marcelo NIcola from Santa Fe and with whom he was relegated in 2020-21. The following year a challenge was presented to him that made him play for the goal of promotion in the LEB Oro, with Estudiantes de Madrid, although it did not materialize (2021-22).
He returned to the Brazilian league to play for Minas Tenis and from there he tried successfully in Méximo.
