Europa League 2023/2024 has completed the group phase. A total of 16 teams entered the knockout phase, of which eight had to go through the play-offs.
A total of four teams ensured qualification for the knockout phase of the Europa League on matchday six. They are Rangers, Qarabag, Sparta Prague and Toulouse.
The overall knockout phase of the Europa League will involve 24 teams. Apart from the 16 teams from the Europa League, there are eight teams who were thrown into this competition after finishing third in the Champions League group phase.
The eight teams from the Champions League will face the eight runners-up teams in the Europa League group phase in the play-off round. The draw for the play-offs will be held on December 18.
The play-off match will be played in two legs on February 15 2024 and February 22 2024. The eight teams that qualify from this phase will then join the eight Europa League group winners who will go straight to the round of 16.
