Ligue 1: Strasbourg on the edge, Lille slowed down, Brest continues

Failing to have offered a plethora of goals, the multiplex of the 15th day of Ligue 1 kept its followers in suspense until the end, Sunday afternoon. Strasbourg indeed snatched victory at the end of added time against Le Havre (2-1), with a victorious header from Abakar Sylla from a corner (90th + 7). This goal, the latest in Ligue 1 this season, allowed Racing to end its black streak of eight matches without success.

Strasbourg thus moves away from the red zone and is now in 10th place, just ahead of its evening opponent. The HAC, returned to the score by Yoann Salmier (48th) after the opening score of Emmanuel Emegha (21st), had a few possibilities to win and can blame themselves. The Norman club is five points ahead of Clermont, 17th and first relegated.

Brest, 5th in Ligue 1

Against Losc, Pascal Gastien’s players won a courageous point (0-0) which could prove useful in the race to maintain. The worst attack in the championship (9 goals) once again lacked success offensively, against Lille who were inconsistent and still fourth, three lengths from the podium.
