Marco Lehmann, Carlos Martinez, Westher Molteni and Dusan Bulut were defeated 21-11 by the best team in the world, who would go on to win this tournament. Taken by the throat, they never really had a chance in this one-sided quarter-final.
Lausanne-Sport concludes this World Tour season, marked in particular by a 2nd place at home and a 3rd in Chengdu, in 8th place in the world hierarchy. It is mainly thanks to the results obtained by the Vaud team that Switzerland obtained the right to compete in an Olympic Qualification Tournament in 2024.
