The Norwegian team of Sturla Holm Legreid, Tarje Bö, Johannes Tynjes Bö and Vetle Søstad Kristiansen finished in one hour, 15 minutes and 38.5 seconds. France’s biathletes were 28.7 seconds behind, while Germany rounded out the top three, one minute and 6.9 seconds behind. The Latvian team was behind the winners in five minutes and 50.4 seconds.
Aleksandrs Patrijuks, Renērs Birkentāls, Andrejs Rastorgujevs and Edgars Mise started as part of the Latvian team in the 4×7.5 kilometer relay.
Aleksandrs Patryuks was the first to go on the track. two spare rounds were used in the first firing line and he returned to the 14th position on the track. In the second shooting range, one mistake and one position lost.
Renars Birkenthal took over the baton, being in the 17th position. Renard made one mistake in the first firing line and returned to the track in 14th position. One spare cartridge was also used in the second shooting range, and Birkenthal returned to the same position on the track.
Rastorgujevs took over the baton, as Latvia was in 14th position. In prone shooting, Andrejs shot without mistakes and returned to the track, climbing to 13th place. In the second shooting, three mistakes allowed him to escape from the penalty circle, and Rastorgujev turned around on the track, being in 13th position.
In the 13th position, Edgars Mise took over the baton, who used three spare cartridges in the first shooting range, and slipped to the 14th position. He used one spare cartridge in the second firing line and returned to the track in 12th position, but he finished in 14th place.
Out of 20 teams that participated in this competition, 15 reached the finish line.
In the first stage of the relay competition, the Latvian team was overtaken by a lap and finished the competition in the last 20th place.
