Indonesian National Team Players Reprimanded for Cooking Instant Noodles During Training Camp

KOMPAS.com – Deputy Chairman of PSSI Zainudin Amali also highlighted the Indonesian national team players who were reprimanded by the tactician, Shin Tae-yong, because they were caught cooking instant noodles while on training camp in Turkiye.

This action was widely discussed in cyberspace after one of the Indonesian national team players, Marselino Ferdinan, uploaded the moment Witan Sulaeman cooked instant noodles in his room.

According to Amali, the players who did this were just joking, especially since the food provided by the hotel was sufficient.

“Coach Shin Tae-yong has given a warning to these players,” said Zainudin, quoted from the news site. Between.

“They admitted that they were just joking because the food available was more than sufficient prepared by the hotel where the national team was staying,” he said.

The former Minister of Youth and Sports added that the standard food provided by the hotel met the requirements for athletes.

“There is absolutely no problem, the food menu meets athlete nutritional standards. Everything is available in large quantities. I also eat with them,” said Zainudin Amali.

It is known that currently the Indonesian national team is undergoing a training camp which is taking place in Turkiye.

This program is being implemented to prepare the Red and White squad which will appear in the 2023 Asian Cup in Qatar 2024.

The players brought to the training camp will face trial matches on January 2 and 5 against Libya, and on January 9 against Iran in Qatar.

Looking ahead to the Asian Cup, the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, is confident that the players can appear brave.

“Facing the Asian Cup later, I remain brave and optimistic because I see the players are working very hard, with that we will definitely be able to achieve the targets we want,” said Shin, quoted from the official PSSI website.

In the 2023 Asian Cup, Indonesia is in Group D with Vietnam, Iraq and Japan.

Indonesia will play its first match against Iraq on Monday (15/1/2024).
