The Toulousains were able to win against the RCT (25-17) despite a failed start to the match.

Ultra-dominated at the start of the match, Stade Toulousain won a victory with forceps (25-17) at the Stadium against Toulon on Saturday at the end of the 10th day of Top 14. This fifth victory of the season at home, where it is undefeated since February 2002, now 23 matches, allows the reigning French champion to stay in touch with the good car, one point behind Castres, sixth.

At the microphone of Canal +, Toulouse manager Ugo Mola declared: “We lose six or seven balls in touch, we have two or three balls in contested scrums. Toulon was really in place, we did not do too badly this evening. We at least put the ingredients in place to turn around a match that was off to a very, very bad start. The risk after two days of the European Cup was to lack freshness! We wanted to renew the same XV and I think I messed up a little. And honestly if Toulon comes back with a little more than zero points this evening, it’s not a scandal, far from it. We played flag for 25 minutes and tackle the rest of the time.
