Senegalese pivot Gorgui Sy Dieng has announced the end of his basketball career, marking the conclusion of an exceptional stage in the world of basketball.
However, this transition does not mean the end of his commitment to the sport, as the San Antonio Spurs, his former team, named him their basketball operations representative. Gorgui Sy Dieng, a 2.08 meter center, left a significant mark during his playing career, impressing with his skills on the pitch.

Now, he is set to take his life on a new trajectory by embracing a different role within the Spurs team. In a statement, Gorgui Sy Dieng shared his motivations for this new adventure as basketball operations representative.
“I love San Antonio and I love being here. I don’t do it for the money or anything. I just want to learn. I did my time in the NBA. I just do it because I like being with the guys and I like learning”he stressed.
