Great evening of ancient dances, Friday 5 January at 6pm in the Sala Maestra of Palazzo Chigi, with the cultural initiative “From mistletoe to the Epiphany between dances and legends” with the artistic direction Susanna Serafini.
Mistletoe, a Christmas and festive symbol of good omen, and of the traditional celebration of the Epiphany.
The event moves between these two celebrations linked to the holidays, between the end of the year and the beginning of the new year, as a sign of hope and optimism for the future, linking it to a local culture of a different historical profile.
The event is part of the “Ariccia da Amare” program, with the patronage of the Municipality of Ariccia, thanks to an initiative by Anita Luciano Cioli, municipal councilor delegated to the territorial associations, and Irene Falcone, municipal councilor delegated to the school, who invite everyone to participate in the event at the Princely Palace of Ariccia on the afternoon of January 5th at 6 pm, with seat reservations to be requested from the Istituto Superiore di Danza of Ariccia.
“It is a themed evening of dances in nineteenth-century costume to recall the splendor and aristocratic tradition of Palazzo Chigi. explains the artistic director of the Ariccina Dance School Susanna Serafini. The dances will be introduced by Nino Taranto, entertainer, actor and presenter important in the national television and theater scene. The dances will be alternated with news, traditions and legends about mistletoe, with gags and jokes from the presenter himself (who is also a very famous and appreciated comedian) to liven up the evening. The audience will be involved in easy-to-approach dances to create a serene and festive atmosphere. At the end there will be a small surprise gift for everyone present”.
