If fate had been a little worse for Ilombe Mboyo (36), this article would have become an obituary. But the former Red Devil was only slightly injured when he was hit by (probably) a bullet on Wednesday evening, after he and two companions were shot in Ixelles. Doom never seems far away in the life of the once promising footballer, whose performance on the field always ended up in the shadow of his behavior off it.
