British football is in mourning. This Saturday, the family of Gemma Wiseman made public the death of the former English player, who notably won the bronze medal at the World Deaf Football Championships in 2016. The body of the 33-year-old woman was in fact found in a forest on the outskirts of Norwich on December 16.

Authorities confirmed the death was not considered “suspicious” and was believed to be a suicide. His family has also opened a fund to finance his funeral. So far, more than 10,000 pounds (around 11,000 euros) have been collected. Wiseman leaves behind his wife and daughter.
