The final of the First Interclubs of the Argentine Tennis Association for women was resolved this Saturday at the Mayling Club de Campo with the consecration of Ferro over GEBA. El Verde won both singles matches with Luisina Giovannini and Francesca Mattioli.

The Caballito Club, thus, added its second star in women, after the one achieved in 1925, that is, 98 years ago (in men they won in 2018), thanks to two 17-year-olds. First of all, Mattioli from Santa Fe She defeated Victoria Domina, 42, 6-2, 3-6 and 10-2.

Francesca Mattioli, Ferro.

“I came in not playing so well. But I was able to get through the first set. The second I went down a little, my legs were very tired, I couldn’t take it anymore. Cement makes you very tired. For the super tie break I thought I had the last 10 minutes of the year left on a court and I had to leave everything. Luckily it came my way,” Mattioli said.

The tennis player who got her first WTA point a few weeks ago at the W15 in Buenos Aires, precisely in Mayling, had to request physio assistance at the end of the second set. Mattioli won all three singles matches this week in the Mayling against Julieta Estable (San Lorenzo) and Sofía García (Independiente).

Luisina Giovanini, Ferro.

The 2-0 was imposed Luisina Giovannini, who lost to Chiara Di Genova (19) by 6-1 6-1. The woman from Córdoba had established herself in the W15 in Córdoba and then reached the second round of the WTA 125K Argentina Open.
