Ingrīda Bergvalde-Ose (25.10.1946 – 10.12.2023) was a player of the “TTT Riga” basketball team from 1964 to 1974.
The legendary basketball player is a nine-time winner of the European Cup, eight-time champion of the Soviet Union and two-time Spartakiad of Nations.
“Our colleague has passed away after a serious illness. She worked at our academy since 1992, fulfilling the duties of the senior laboratory assistant of the Swimming Department, but since 2004 she worked in the part-time correspondence department and was responsible for organizing the study process of correspondence students,” the Latvian Sports Pedagogy Academy announced (LSPA) in a statement.
“On behalf of the academy team, we express our condolences to Ingrīda’s family and relatives, all of whom have been or are currently connected with Latvian basketball,” says LSPA.
