Makassar – Everton Nascimento admitted that he would always remember the beautiful moments with PSM Makassar after saying goodbye to the club. One of the beautiful moments was that Everton also presented the 2022/2023 Liga 1 title to PSM Makassar.
The Brazilian player’s contract will actually expire at the end of the 2023/2024 Liga 1 season. However, Everton was not included in coach Bernardo Tavares’ plans for the second round of League 1 this season.
Everton then said goodbye after the Sabah FC versus PSM Makassar match in the 2023/2024 AFC Cup. He emphasized that this match would be his last match with PSM Makassar.
“This is my last official match for PSM. Thank you to everyone who has taken part during the period I have been here,” wrote Everton on his personal Instagram account, Saturday (16/12/2023).
He then revealed that he would always remember the happy moments while strengthening PSM Makassar. He also said goodbye, Ewako.
“(I still have a valid contract) happy times will forever remain in my memory, I will never forget my love and my family,” wrote Everton in his post.
“Thank you very much… Big hugs to everyone who followed me and toasted me. Ewako,” continued the Brazilian bomber.
Everton Scores 14 Goals-8 Assists
PSM Makassar management brought in Everton Nascimento from Hidd SCC, a club from Bahrain in 2022. Reporting from transfermarkt, Everton has a market value of around IDR 2.17 billion.
In his first season, Everton immediately became a mainstay in Juku Eja’s front line. He presented the 2022/2023 Liga 1 title which ended PSM Makassar’s 23 year title drought.
So far, Everton has made 61 appearances in all competitions with PSM Makassar. He scored 14 goals and 8 assists.
Everton tends to be sluggish this season compared to last season. Everton’s appearance in League 1 last season managed to score 8 goals and 3 assists for PSM from 29 appearances.
Meanwhile, this season, Everton has only scored 1 goal and 2 assists from 15 appearances. Everton’s goals were even far behind by his teammate who played as a midfielder, Kenzo Nambu.
