Seeded, the French team avoids major opposition from the group stage of Euro 2024 in Germany. Thus, the Blues will not be able to face the host country, Belgium, Portugal, Spain or England, but who will be the future opponents of Didier Deschamps’ men in June 2024?
The answer will be given this Saturday at 6 p.m. live from Hamburg (Germany), during the draw for the group stages of UEFA Euro 2024.
Unlike previous editions, the hats were established according to the results during qualifying, and not in relation to the UEFA ranking. If hat 1, that of the top seeds, seems quite strong, the other lots seem quite affordable, although France is not guaranteed to have an easy group on paper. Worse still, a scenario of a group of death exists for France, especially with the presence of Italy, although the title holder, in hat 4.
To complete this last hat, 12 teams will compete in the play-offs, in March 2024, along 3 different paths, three Final Fours in total. Path A is made up of Wales who will face Finland and Poland who will face Estonia. Path B consists of Bosnia-Herzegovina which will play Ukraine, as well as Israel which will face Iceland. Finally, the last Way brings together Georgia which will face Luxembourg and Greece, opposed to Kazakhstan. The Blues have therefore been warned and will know their opponents this Saturday.
