The “defensive match plan” almost worked, but there are “compromises that you have to make when you play against a team that is so dominant, risky, fast, physically strong, creative.” One compromise, for example, was to completely forego the use of Donyell Malen this time.

For the first time in the current Bundesliga season, Malen remained on the bench for over 90 minutes, with Terzić bringing in Karim Adeyemi as the only offensive change. How Sky Reportedly, the Dutchman is already planning his departure from Dortmund.

BVB star Donyell Malen recently changed his agent

Accordingly, Malen is dissatisfied with the position in which he currently has to play at BVB. Instead of being preferred in the center forward or on the left wing, he is currently mainly used on the right flank.

According to Sky, Borussia Dortmund would also have no objection if Malen left the club. The only decisive factor is that a club would be willing to pay a transfer fee of at least 30 million euros. His current contract runs until 2026.

Donyell Malen moved to Dortmund in the summer of 2021 and struggled with fluctuations in performance, especially in his first year. It was only in the second half of last season that the 24-year-old managed to bring the performance he had hoped for onto the pitch. But he still doesn’t seem to have really arrived at BVB.

Just a few days ago, Malen changed his consulting agency and will be represented by the Sports Entertainment Group in the future. Sky reporter Patrick Berger explained: “Sebastian Kehl has already asked what that means.”

When the kick-off sounded on Friday in Rostock’s Ostseestadion, the German national team was under enormous pressure. A win against Denmark was essential if they were to have a chance of taking part in the Olympics. Ideally, a success with at least a two-goal difference.
