From December 9 to 23, throughout France, the 9th edition of Kinder Joy of Moving Basket Day will allow more than 100,000 children aged 6 to 11 to learn about basketball.
What if the best gift, as Christmas approaches, was the discovery of basketball? More than 1,000 basketball clubs, spread across the entire metropolitan national territory, are preparing to host the traditional end-of-year operation of the French BasketBall Federation (FFBB) for young people: “Kinder Joy of Moving Basketball Day.” Young basketball players licensed by the FFBB will have the opportunity to introduce their passion to an uninitiated relative. To participate, you do not need to be licensed. All 6-11 year olds wishing to discover the practice of basketball will indeed be welcome in all the clubs participating in the operation. And young members of these clubs are of course invited to invite their friends.
No need to be licensed to participate
During this day or half-day, budding basketball players will participate in a series of fun and educational workshops, in particular to perfect their shots at different distances towards the baskets, try dribbling courses, or even games dexterity with the ball to test and improve your skill.
The Kinder Joy of Moving Basket Day operation thus represents a unique opportunity for the French BasketBall Federation to introduce the discipline and its values, and to develop its practice among young people. For parents, the operation helps introduce their children to new activities, and thus encourage physical activity. Finally, for children, this event represents a day of fun and discovery, in a friendly atmosphere.
