“Good morning to all of you and thank you for the excellent work you are doing. Finally a true voice. I am a regular reader and I wanted to report two realities of Frascati that left me dumbfounded.
I hope you can publish this one of mine.
I was in the car with my mother (disabled person with companion) and since I can’t leave her alone I had to go with her to a pharmacy open on Sunday morning to take him some medicines. The pharmacy is located in Piazza San Pietro in Frascati. Owner of a fully electric car with disabled permit enters the ZTL. The time to buy medicines about 15 minutes and then off.
Let me start by saying that at that time, around 9am, the square was deserted. After two months it arrives fine for entering ZTL. I’m calling to understand. They inform me that electric cars cannot enter the restricted traffic zone (in Rome I can drive anywhere without problems). I counter that I had a disabled person in the car. Then I am advised to appeal with:
1) Photocopy of disabled permit
2) Declaration of the disabled person who was with me that day at that time
3) Double-sided documents disabled
4) My statement
All sent by PEC mail, which if you don’t have it you have to send and pay for it.
Response after a few days:
It is not possible to proceed with the self-defence archiving of the report for the reasons given by you. So with electric car and disabled person on board I cannot enter the restricted traffic zone in Frascati while in Rome yes.
Incredible but true, unfortunately.
Another time I always go to Frascati for emergencies and parking in blue zone. I go to get the ticket but the parking meter doesn’t work. As soon as I get back I find the assistant who is giving me a fine. I tell him the distributor is broken. He arrogantly says there are others. Okay.
Where can I find a working one? He answers over there. Meanwhile he writes. I come back and put the ticket in the car. No fines on the windshield. Thank goodness I say. After two months the fine arrives. Are we serious? But who regulates these rules in Frascati?
