The central defender will therefore miss BVB’s away game at FC Augsburg (Saturday, 3:30 p.m., Sky and in the live ticker on bild.de). In the Champions League game against Paris St. Germain (Wednesday, 9 p.m., live on DAZN and on bild.de in the live ticker), the 2014 world champion can be used.

Hummels was sent to shower by referee Sven Jablonski in the 15th minute of the 2-3 win against Leipzig on Saturday evening after he was the last man to throw off RB striker Loïs Openda (23).

It was Hummels’ third expulsion in his 430th Bundesliga game; he was last sent off four years ago at Hertha BSC. Referee also back then: Jablonski. It was the earliest red card by a BVB player in Bundesliga history!

Hummels only has to miss one game – and can therefore play in the last game before the winter break against Mainz (Tuesday, December 19th, 8:30 p.m., live on Sky and on bild.de in the live ticker) emerge again.
