FC Bayern and Union Berlin will play their Bundesliga game next year. The new date gives the Munich team an option brought into play by coach Tuchel.

The canceled Bundesliga game between FC Bayern Munich and 1. FC Union Berlin will be rescheduled next year.

As the German Football League and the clubs announced, the game on matchday 13 will take place on January 24, 2024 (8:30 p.m./Sky) and therefore on a Wednesday. The game was canceled last weekend due to wintry weather conditions and the associated safety risks.

The season will continue after the short Christmas break on January 12th with Bayern’s home game against TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. Coach Thomas Tuchel recently stated that they might want to use the time afterwards for a short training camp. That would be possible given the scheduling of the Union game. Bayern will not start the second half of the season until January 21st at home against Werder Bremen.
