Bucks Soar in December: Finding Their Groove and Dominating the Court

The Milwaukee Bucks are 8-1 in the month of December and their only loss has come in the NBA Cup against Tyrese Haliburton’s Indiana Pacers. It’s all good feelings for Adrian Griffin’s team, which has recorded 130 points or more on 12 occasions, and is currently the third best attack in the league with 122 points per 100 possessions.

And one of the players who is noticing the difference the most is Damian Lillard, who after beating the Knicks 130-111 at Madison Square Garden, acknowledged that everyone is much more comfortable since his transfer was closed.

«You bring together many very good players, but it takes time to gel. Get to know each other and make things work,” Lillard told ESPN. “Now you’re starting to see us in a different way because we’re getting to know each other much better,” she explained.

Giannis Atentokounmpo led the offense against the Knicks with 28 points, 7 rebounds and 7 assists. Khris Middleton contributed 20 points, and Malik Beasley and the aforementioned Lillard added 19 points each.

“We feel a lot more comfortable,” Lillard admitted. «It’s different when you can communicate. You know what someone likes. We know how to make it work. “We continue to improve every day and this match has shown it,” she highlighted.

«Communication between everyone has been key. Especially with a veteran team that doesn’t spend much time in training. Many times when we are together we talk about the game. About how we want to play. How we can complement each other and we are still discovering,” Middleton explained.

Brunson was very alone

The Knicks, in tow throughout the match, only found the answer with Jalen Brunson, who led his team with 36 points and 7 assists. The point guard is making merits to achieve his first presence in the All-Star, and despite Becky Hammon’s recent comments about his short stature, he is being one of the most outstanding point guards in the entire competition.

«People are going to say stupid things all they want. At the end of the day the good thing about him is that he doesn’t care what other people say. “He cares about winning and our success,” said Josh Hart after the match.

Julius Randle added 26 points and 8 rebounds; Isaiah Hartenstein added a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds; and a fateful night for RJ Barrett with 13 points with a 5/17 shooting from the field.

Both teams will meet again on December 25 in the match that opens the Christmas day starting at 6:00 p.m. Spanish time.
